Delta IV Launch Tower

Space Launch Complex 37, Cape Canaveral, Florida

CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla., February, 2001 -- The 330-foot tall Delta IV Launch Tower, built on an historic Saturn 1 launch pad at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), receives a pair of lightning towers fabricated and erected by Industrial Steel Inc.

Boeing is converting the pad -- part of Space Launch Complex 37 -- into the nation's newest launch facility to support the Delta IV family of launch vehicles. The mobile service tower weighs 9 million pounds and provides workers with 360 degree access to the Delta IV rockets while they are on the pad.
