Ground-based Midcourse Defense

Interceptor -- A Boeing technician documents procedures to integrate and assemble stages 2 and 3 of an inert booster vehicle at the Boeing Ground-based Midcourse Defense Integration, Assembly, Test and Checkout facility at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., near Huntsville, Ala. The Orbus 1 A rocket motor used for the 2nd and 3rd booster stages of the interceptor is built by Pratt & Whitney -- Chemical Systems Division in San Jose, Calif.
