Request for Information (RFI) -- Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
Future Combat Systems (FCS) is the US Army's central acquisition program for transformation from current to future force systems and structure. This pivotal Army transformation program combines advanced technologies; organizations, people, and process with concepts to create new sources of military power that are more responsive, deployable, agile, versatile, lethal, survivable, and sustainable.
The FCS Requirements Management Tools & Processes team is seeking qualified Suppliers to provide within 24 hours of identified need, an individual (to include a possible back up individual) with training and experience in the Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) and the DOORS Extension Language (DXL). Primary services are to support operation of the FCS requirements management databases in a secured environment.
The principal place of performance will be at Kent, Washington with possible travel to multiple locations within the continental United States. These trips are assumed to be every three months and 1 week in duration. These individuals require specific qualifications in debugging Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) implementation problems, performing root cause analysis and implementing coding fixes to DOORS databases. Additionally, the positions require a current United States security clearance at the Secret level or the ability to obtain one.
It is anticipated The Boeing Company will initially award a 24 month contract with a period of performance from 1 October 2006 to 30 September 2008. This contract will have the potential for continuation beyond 2008 on an annual basis based upon budgetary constraints. The option to extend performance beyond two years may be exercised at Boeing's discretion only.
The defined tasks will be specified in a Boeing Statement of Work and request for proposal package to be released to qualified bidders on or about July 24, 2006. Interested parties are hereby requested to submit a letter of interest with their qualifications not to exceed two pages no later than July 10, 2006.
