Advanced Network Applications
This business includes a number of classified projects as well as research and development activities supported through the AIS Network Lab and staffed and operated by the Advanced Network Applications organization. Through various activities AIS is at the forefront of the networked world, and is engaged in engineering activities designed to describe and promote the use of network technology in new applications. AIS engineers and scientists are engaged in discovering the unique issues in a networked environment, such as security and system integrity, as well as emerging technologies. The current AIS Network Lab facility, located near the Anaheim Boeing Integration Center (BIC), is a true discovery and learning environment. It features complete network systems with full capability to demonstrate any combination of e-mail, telephony, or computer communications. In this lab, new technologies, algorithms, or protocols can be assessed and utilized in a controlled experimental environment.
