Marine Systems

S&IS LMRS (Neg#: lmrs37) This business has many programs, most of which are classified. Two unclassified efforts include the Echo Ranger and the work being done in support of the U.S. Navy's P-8A Poseidon. AIS brings a heritage of software and sensor expertise to the P-8A. AIS is providing systems, software and hardware engineering to the design, and integration and testing of the development hardware and software for the MMA acoustic subsystem. The acoustic subsystem is the primary ASW sensor and uses the latest open architecture technologies, such as Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (ARCI). It counters emerging submarine threats and environments through the use of sonobuoy receivers as well as location, signal processing, post processing, data fusion, display and control, and recording capabilities.
