Tactical Systems
Tactical Systems provides engineering and operations and maintenance (O&M) support to ground-based tactical Command and Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR) systems. Much of the work performed by Tactical Systems is for classified government contracts. Since 1977 more than 100 systems have been built or fielded. The key to Tactical Systems' success is the dedicated team of engineers and logisticians who provide rapid-response solutions to customer problems.
Current programs are focused on transitioning existing systems to smaller, less costly, more easily transportable systems that are ready to support the current and future tactical war fighter. Rapid prototyping enables small, focused, flexible product teams to work in all product phases, including conceptual development and system design, manufacturing and assembly, testing, and, ultimately in the delivery of the working system to the end user. Field support representatives are working at military bases across the United States, Germany, and Korea, and are responsible for on-site system O&M, including software and hardware support, system repair, and training. Some of these field support representatives are also providing on-site O&M support directly to the warfighter at locations throughout the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan. All Tactical Systems engineers and logisticians know that the high-tech hardware and software systems they design, build, and support have a positive impact on the lives of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines.
