SSED offers an unparalleled set of rad-hard design solutions for fully custom ASIC's. Our hardening techniques range from the traditional dedicated rad-hard foundries to a comprehensive Hardness-by-Design library that achieves strategic hardness levels in low-cost commercial foundries.

SSED has pioneered the use of radiation hardness-by-design (RHBD) techniques to develop a hardened digital library in a low cost commercial foundry demonstrating:

  Upset  - 5x109 rad/s

As a foundry independent supplier with over 15 years experience, our success in radiation hardening is achieved by continuously developing new and novel hardening techniques that address the ever changing issues of emerging technologies and encompass a large array of process, device, circuit, and architectural approaches. Our designs span rad-hard challenges from the prompt radiation threats of strategic military systems to the long-term stresses of commercial satellites and deep space exploration.

Our radiation ASIC experience has been captured and incorporated into a suite of sophisticated computer-aided tools and design methodology.
