Boeing Delivers First C-17 to Mississippi Air National Guard
ST. LOUIS , Dec. 17, 2003 -- The Mississippi Air National Guard is the newest operator of the Boeing-built C-17 Globemaster III, joining the U.S. Air Force and the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force. The 116th operational C-17, this aircraft is the first of eight destined for the National Guard's 172nd Airlift Wing, based in Jackson, Miss.
