Conference Letter
03 March 2011
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Greetings!
The U.S. Navy and Hornet Industry Team would like to again thank our 2010 Hornet International Conference co-host, the Canadian Air Force, for all of their hospitality and support during last year's conference in Quebec City. It was a wonderful week with many great conversations and opportunities to collaborate with all the International Hornet community.
This year marks our 15th annual gathering of the worldwide F/A-18 user community, and we would like to proudly announce that the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) will be our co-host. The theme of this year's conference is "Expeditionary Operations in support of Ground Forces" with emphasis on Deployability/Interoperability. We look forward to another great week of collaboration with the opportunity to further strengthen our partnerships.
The conference will be held in the historic southern community of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Hilton Head is also minutes away from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina, where we will draw from the experiences of recently returning USMC Hornet pilots from deployment. The area has a rich history of beautiful windswept shores that are a great place to interact with the international Hornet community and invigorate new ideas. The South Carolina low country rewards and refreshes all who visit.
The date of the conference this year will be the week of June 6. The official hotel of the 2011 Hornet International Conference is the Crowne-Plaza Hilton Head.
We look forward to seeing everyone in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Sincerely,
Your 2011 Hornet International Conference Planning Team
