Boeing Fighters of the Future Debut at Farnborough Air Show

FARNBOROUGH, England, July 25, 2000 -- The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet on Monday made its international flying debut during the Farnborough International 2000 air show outside London. The six-minute flight demonstration consisted of rolls, horizontal turns, and slow reversals. The Super Hornet is in production, and Boeing and the U.S. Navy recently signed an $8.9 billion multi-year contract for 222 aircraft.
