Boeing Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System Gains Approval for Low-Rate Initial Production
ST. LOUIS, July 27, 2000 -- The Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), recently approved for low-rate initial production, will be deployed on the F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and F-22 aircraft. JHMCS combines a magnetic head tracker with a display projected onto the pilot's visor, providing a targeting device that can be used to aim sensors and weapons wherever the pilot is looking.
