| FOCUS ON SPOT BEAMS - DIRECTV-4S, a powerful Boeing 601HP satellite, is the fifth satellite to be built by world-leading manufacturer Boeing Satellite Systems for DIRECTV®, the nation's leading digital satellite television service provider. DIRECTV-4S will be the first spot beam satellite in the DIRECTV fleet. The satellite is scheduled for launch aboard an Ariane 4 rocket on Nov. 26. Once deployed and in service at 101 degrees West longitude, the more than 85-foot-long, 24.5-foot-wide DIRECTV-4S will provide the capacity to deliver additional local channels and to strengthen the redundancy of the DIRECTV in-orbit fleet.
