| EXPANDING FLEET -- Japan Satellite Systems, Inc., (JSAT) of Tokyo, has contracted
for a sixth communications satellite from Hughes Space and Communications International,
Inc. The satellite, JCSAT 6, is an HS 601 body-stabilized model carrying 32 Ku-band
transponders. It will carry signals to Japan. The satellite is scheduled for delivery
in May 1998. |
