SEAL BEACH, Calif., April 09, 2002 -- A Boeing-built Galaxy IIIC communication satellite is being delivered next week to Sea Launch Home Port in Long Beach, Calif., to receive final check out for a late May launch. Galaxy IIIC is the third Boeing 702 satellite built and delivered by Boeing Space and Communications (S&C) for PanAmSat Corporation of Wilton, Conn. Galaxy IIIC's footprint will cover the United States and Latin America areas to help improve general telecommunications traffic such as voice, data and television relay and direct-to-user services such as cable television systems and Internet capabilities.
