Boeing has built and delivered two Boeing GEO-Mobile (GEM) satellites and is preparing a third spacecraft for United Arab Emirates-based Thuraya Satellite Telecommunications Company's mobile data and voice services business. Each satellite features a unique mesh transmit-receive reflector that enables it to handle nearly 14,000 simultaneous phone calls.
