Overview
NASA's Mission Operations Directorate at Johnson Space Center (JSC) is consolidating their support contracts into the Facilities Development and Operations Contract (FDOC). The selected contractor will develop, operate and maintain JSC Mission Control Center's engineering and training mission facilities for the Space Shuttle, International Space Station and Constellation programs. The contractor will also develop and maintain the software applications used in the facilities.
With 50 years of proven space exploration experience, Boeing's FDOC Team is pursuing this NASA contract and will propose safe, reliable and cost effective solutions. The custom-built team is comprised of experienced space exploration workers that draw on space shuttle, International Space Station, satellite communications, operation training systems expertise as well as Global Positioning System and Ground-Based Missile Defense proficiencies. From affordable engineering techniques, and a broad and innovative supplier base, the Boeing FDOC Team has innovative and proven methods to meet NASA's goal of reducing current costs through consolidation--without sacrificing safety and quality.
