Ground-based Midcourse Defense

IFT-5 Launch -- Integrated Flight Test (IFT)-5 took place on July 7, 2000. The interceptor was launched from Meck Island in the Kwajalein Island Atoll. The launch was part of the flight test program for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense program.
