Resume and cover-letter writing
The resume is an important tool in your job search because initially it speaks for you. Because most employers today require a summary of your skills and experience, this workshop is designed to help you develop an effective, up-to-date resume.
Marketing and networking skills
Someone you know, meet, or have just met might hold the key to your next job. This workshop will help you explore ways to build upon current contacts and develop new ones. You will learn how to get job leads, how to tap into the hidden job market and how to contact the person in an organization who has the power to hire. Also, learn how to get the word out that you are looking for new opportunities.
Interviewing
Some people say they enjoy job interviews. For others, it is the most frightening aspect of the job search. Regardless of how you feel about interviewing, this workshop will help you learn how to approach the interview with more confidence.
