A Soldier's Story

November 11, 2013 in Community

The story of the Army is the story of soldiers.

Every soldier has a story to tell, and those stories deserve to be heard. In 2013, Boeing partnered with the Army Historical Society to create an online Soldiers’ Stories Gallery that complements Boeing’s sponsorship of the Soldiers’ Stories Gallery in the society’s museum.

Scheduled to open in 2017, the National Museum of the U.S. Army will be located at Fort Belvoir, Va., and will honor 14 generations of American soldiers whose leadership, character and sacrifice forged their nation.

Each Soldiers’ Stories video in the galleries provides the soldier’s personal experience in his or her own words, while demonstrating one of the seven Army values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage.

Watch the story of Sergeant First Class Joe Bowser, a veteran who served in Balad, Iraq, as he tells his story of personal courage and shares his current work with wounded warriors.
