Commercial Airplanes Teams Shine in Third Quarter

A boost in airplane deliveries and achieving several milestones on development programs highlight performance

Set to music and told through the words of Boeing teams, leaders and customers, Commercial Airplanes' latest highlights video spotlights third-quarter achievements, including a boost in deliveries from year to year and achieving a number of important milestones on development programs.

Among the highlights were the first flight of the KC-46 Pegasus tanker with the refueling boom and wing air refueling pods installed, firm configuration of the 777X and the beginning of final assembly for the 737 MAX.

China President Xi Jinping's visit to Boeing's Everett, Wash., factory was another important event and included the announcement of airplane sales to the country and collaborative projects that will strengthen Boeing's relationship with China.

Overall, Commercial Airplanes booked 166 net orders and delivered 199 airplanes in the third quarter.
