Boeing P-8 Chief Pilot Chris Dobb and Boeing P-8 Lead Test Pilot John Verniest are flying the P-8A Poseidon in the Farnborough International Air Show. Watch this video to learn about the features military customers can use for maritime patrol and how these pilots maneuver the aircraft to showcase the P-8A’s moves.

The P-8A Poseidon is a derivative of the world’s most popular jet, the 737.  This 737-800 is adapted and enhanced with communication data links giving crews the ability to communicate across forces around the world.

The United Kingdom will be adding the water-patrolling, submarine-hunting Boeing P-8A Poseidon to its Royal Air Force (RAF) fleet.  The UK prime minister announced a contract for nine of the maritime patrol aircraft at the 2016 Farnborough International Air Show in a deal that also includes training, maintenance and support opportunities.
