Army Helicopter School Support

Under contract to the Commonwealth of Australia (Army), Boeing Australia provides maintenance support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Helicopter School's fleet of Bell 206B-1 Kiowa aircraft, which operate out of the Army Aviation Base at Oakey, Queensland. Approximately 45 staff are employed within the group, with skills ranging across mechanical, avionics and specialist trades. These trades are supported by both technical and management personnel and a qualified test pilot.

 

Capabilities

The maintenance support provided by Boeing Australia for this contract includes all flightline activities, scheduled and unscheduled operational and deeper level maintenance, aircraft life support maintenance, maintenance test flying, spares procurement and management, support equipment maintenance, deployment support and ground & aircrew technical training.

Boeing Australia is also responsible for storage maintenance for the retired Army AS-350B Squirrel fleet.
