Kalkara is an Unmanned Air Target (UAT) system used by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) for crew training and evaluating weapons system performance for a range of missiles carried by RAAF fighter aircraft and RAN warships.
Kalkara was manufactured and supplied by BAE Systems, Flight Systems Division. Boeing Australia Limited is responsible for the in-service support of the Kalkara system, including maintenance and repair of the UAV and the ground control station; preparation of the UAV for launch; controlling the UAV in flight; and recovery of the UAV at the completion of the mission.

The contract was awarded to Boeing Australia in February 1997 and is due for completion in January 2008. Under the program, about 40 Kalkara launches are performed each year. Launches are conducted from Jervis Bay on the East Coast of Australia; Garden Island on the West Coast; and Woomera in central South Australia.
