Research and Development

Boeing Australia has continually increased its Research and Development activities during the last five years, including:

• Air traffic control switch development
• Combat System infrastructure enhancement
• AEW&C and B1-B modelling
• Communication systems modelling and design

And also has partnerships with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) in the following areas:

• Combat systems
• Advanced composite structures
• Telecommunications CRC (CRASYS)

Research Organisation Links

Boeing Australia is operating under a Collaboration Agreement for connection to, and interaction with, the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) where Boeing Australia provides project management, model interoperation and software modification and development.

Boeing Australia also provides directorship of the Distributed Systems Technology (DSTC) which operates the Co-operative Research Centre for Enterprise Distributed Systems Technology (EDST) and has representatives on the Technical Committee of SimTecT, DSTO's Virtual Ship Working Group, the Australian Space Industry Chamber of Commerce (ASICC) and Australian Universities.
