McDonnell Douglas History KC-10 Extender (1980)
KC-10 Extender First flight of the KC-10 Extender advanced tanker/cargo aircraft, based on the DC-10 Series 30, took place in 1980. The KC-10 became the first tanker to refuel both Navy and Air Force aircraft on the same flight. The last of 60 aircraft were delivered to the Air Force in 1990.
