Battery Orbit Replaceable Unit (ORU)
The battery Orbit Replaceable Unit (ORU), currently on ASTRO. As part of mission objectives, this battery will be transferred to NextSat, where it is integrated as part of the NextSat electrical power system (EPS). Several transfers are planned back and forth between ASTRO and NextSat to demonstrate both servicing and client spacecraft applications. The PFA (Probe Fixture Assembly) is to the left. This is the device the Manipulator arm will grapple to unlatch the ORU and the make the transfer.
