on developing and delivering innovative products and services
to reduce life-cycle costs and increase the effectiveness of
aerospace systems fielded around the globe.
Aerospace Support applies an integrated approach that encompasses
the total aircraft support portfolio, focused in seven business
segments:
Maintenance and Modifications offers fast-cycle time, affordable
aircraft services through four maintenance and modification centers,
located in San Antonio, Texas; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mesa,
Ariz.
Modernization and Upgrades brings together the large-scale systems
integration expertise of Boeing to develop flexible, affordable
avionics suites, systems upgrades, reengining programs and other
modernization initiatives. The C-130 AMP (Avionics Modernization
Program), for example, combines proven cockpit technology with
leading-edge flight-management capabilities.
767 Tanker Programs is focused on bringing the next-generation
air-refueling aircraft and services, based on the 767 commercial
transport platform, to the global market. Italy and Japan have
already selected this modern, flexible aircraft for their air-refueling
needs.
Training Systems and Services includes aircrew and maintenance
simulation devices and instructional systems, including the innovative
networked devices for the F-15C Distributed Mission Training
program, as well as providing classroom and cockpit instructors,
courseware development and logistics support of training devices.
Contractor Logistics Support and Services (CLS) focuses on providing
a variety of personnel support services performed at customer
sites, including maintenance and engineering support, as well
as comprehensive, affordable CLS programs for platforms such
as the C-32, C-40 and KC-10.
Spares and Technical Data includes the development and application
of innovative, efficient inventory management techniques that
streamline delivery systems to customer needs, along with innovative
technical publications support and data-management systems.
Life-Cycle Customer Support programs tailor the Aerospace Support
competencies into broad performance-based programs to provide
high-levels of readiness at affordable costs.
With management offices and operations in St. Louis, Mo., the
Military Aerospace Support organization also has major operations
in Wichita, Kan.; San Antonio, Texas; Long Beach and Garden Grove,
Calif.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Mesa, Ariz.; Fort
Walton Beach, Fla.; and Oklahoma City, Okla.; as well as in Australia.
