U.S.S. Helena SubmarineBoeing received a $21 million Navy contract to provide engineering technical support for navigational systems on United States and United Kingdom Trident I and Trident II submarines.

"Boeing's long tradition of ensuring the U.S. Navy goes to sea with the world's most accurate shipboard inertial navigation systems is due to our team maintaining a tight focus on providing the U.S. and UK Navies with the best best-of-industry technology at an affordable price," said Dick Yuhnke, program director for Boeing Naval Electronics & Navigation in Anaheim, Calif.

Under the Fiscal Year 2005 contact with the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Boeing Naval Electronics & Navigation business, will provide material and technical support services to conduct inertial equipment modification and repair for the Ships Inertial Navigation System, Electrostatically Supported Gyro Monitors, Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigators and related components.
