Andy Ellis is vice president of Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) for Boeing Washington, D.C. Operations. He is responsible for the management of Boeing's defense and space business in Washington, D.C.

Ellis previously served as vice president of Military Aircraft and Missile Systems business for Washington, D.C. Operations.

Prior to joining Boeing, Ellis served as staff director of the Committee on Armed Services in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he was responsible for the planning and implementation of all aspects of the committee's oversight agenda, legislative operations and the overall management of the committee's professional staff.

Ellis joined the Armed Services Committee's professional staff in 1987, where he managed research, development and procurement accounts in addition to broader defense policy and budget issues. He assumed the position of minority staff director in 1990 where he served until appointed to the staff director position in 1995.

From 1985-1987 Ellis was a legislative assistant for National Security Affairs to Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.).

Ellis received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Vermont and his master's and doctorate degrees in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
