Washington, DC, Jan. 17, 2006 -- The Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC), a non-profit international consortium, closed out 2005 with the addition of five new members, four from outside the United States. Membership of the NCOIC is now comprised of member organizations from 16 countries.

"The participation of companies like these is critical to our continuing success in providing a global approach to interoperability," said Paul Allen of IBM, who was chairman for NCOIC Membership in 2005. "In 2006 our efforts will be increasingly focused on strengthening participation of entities outside of the United States so that we can sustain the truly global perspective of our efforts."
