Boeing's 1st Wideband Global SATCOM Satellite Now Operational
ST. LOUIS, May 12, 2008 -- WGS-1 was placed into operation over the Pacific region by the U.S. Air Force on April 16. WGS provides warfighters with an increase in information transfer capability unmatched by any satellite communications system in existence.
