Boeing, IAM Resume Negotiations

SEATTLE, Dec. 5, 1995 - International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) International President George Kourpias and Boeing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Frank Shrontz jointly announced today they were directing their respective negotiators to immediately return to the bargaining table.

"Federal Mediator Ben Youtsey has agreed to oversee the new round of negotiations. To make the talks as productive as possible, Mr. Youtsey has requested that we not disclose the location of the talks and that we refrain from making public comments about the talks until our negotiations are complete. We have agreed to honor his request," Kourpias and Shrontz said.
