Boeing to Sell Georgia Subsidiary SEATTLE, Mar. 28, 1996 - The Boeing Company said today it plans to sell its subsidiary in Macon, Georgia, which makes cargo handling hardware for airplanes. The subsidiary, which is a part of the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group (BCAG), employs approximately 700. Boeing has focused on one potential buyer from a group of qualified and interested companies. That potential buyer has requested to remain unidentified until the general terms and conditions are substantially negotiated. Boeing said the reason for the sale was to better focus its resources on core production activities. |
