Boullioun Aviation Services Orders Eight 737-300s

SEATTLE, June 27, 1996 -- Boullioun Aviation Services, Inc., has ordered eight Boeing 737-300s. The Boeing Commercial Airplane Group placed the value of the order at approximately $350 million.

Deliveries to the Seattle-based leasing company will begin in March 1997. Boullioun Aviation intends to place the airplanes in Europe and China. The twinjets will be powered by CFM56 engines.

Boullioun, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Trust and Banking Co., Ltd., currently leases eight 737-200s, seven 737-300s, four 737-400s and one 757-200 to airlines. In addition, Boullioun currently manages ten airplanes on lease for other investors.

"Boullioun Aviation Services is a valued customer of Boeing and has enormous potential for increasing their market share in the aircraft leasing industry," said Larry Dickenson, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group vice president of Asia/Pacific sales. "We are particularly pleased that several of these airplanes will be placed in China."

The advanced-technology 737-300 is among the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in the world. It offers advanced structural materials, new corrosion inhibiting techniques, advanced digital avionics technology, improved aerodynamics, and high-bypass engines.

The Boeing 737, with more than 3,000 announced orders, continues to lead the industry as the best-selling commercial jet of all time.
