SEATTLE, Sept. 19, 1996 -- Boeing Commercial Airplane Group today confirmed an order by Alaska Airlines for 12 Boeing 737-400s with an option to acquire up to 12 more. The value of the order, based on the published list price, is approximately $540 million.
