Airtran President Proud to be 717-200 Launch Customer
LONG BEACH, Calif., May 26, 1998 -- D. Joseph Corr, president and chief executive officer of AirTran Airlines, proudly stands alongside Phil Condit, Boeing chairman and chief executive officer, holding a model of the airplane that is scheduled to enter service with AirTran in the summer of 1999. AirTran is the launch customer of the 717-200, with orders for 50 of the 100-seat jetliner and options for 50 more.
