Alitalia Takes to the Skies in its Newest Boeing 767-300ER

SEATTLE, March 25, 1999 -- Italy's Alitalia Airlines took delivery of its newest airplane, a Boeing 767-300ER (extended range). The airplane is configured to hold 215 passengers in two classes. Alitalia connects Italy with 57 countries and each year carries more than 21 million passengers. The airline has a fleet of more than 110 Boeing airplanes including six other 767s, eight MD-11s, 10 747s and 90 MD-80s.
