Air Europa's First Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 Flies Away

SEATTLE, May 11, 1999 -- The first of three Next-Generation 737-800s delivered to Air Europa takes to the skies. The airplanes are the first Next-Generation 737s to begin service in Spain. Air Europa ordered a total of 10 737s, three of which are scheduled to deliver later this year. Four more will follow in 2000. With its excellent range, the Boeing 737-800 can operate on all of the current routes Air Europa flies in Europe, the longest being from Scandinavia to the Canary Islands.
