First Brimstone Missile Flight Test Successful

ST. CHARLES, Mo., Aug. 23, 1999 -- First launch of a Brimstone anti-armor missile at Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., occurred Aug. 12. Brimstone is being developed for the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force to defeat modern and future armored threats. Brimstone can be launched from fixed wing aircraft such as the Harrier, Tornado and Eurofighter 2000 aircraft.
