Boeing Installs Engine in JSF X-32A Demonstrator Aircraft
PALMDALE, Calif., April 11, 2000 -- Mechanics at Boeing facilities in Palmdale, Calif., install the engine that will power the Boeing JSF X-32A concept demonstrator. Designated the YF004, the engine has successfully completed 45 hours of acceptance testing at engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney's facility in West Palm Beach, Fla.
