Boeing Suppliers see their Contributions During 737-900 Tour

PARIS, June 21, 2000 -- Boeing Commercial Airplanes suppliers from around the world Thursday toured the 737-900 on display at the Paris Air Show. "Suppliers play a key role in helping us achieve our business plan," said Saundra Cope, acting vice president and general manager for Supply Management and Procurement in Commercial Airplanes. Cope thanked the suppliers for helping Boeing use fewer and more common parts, and bringing forth ideas that enhance the value of their products to both Boeing and airline customers. "The Next-Generation 737 family is the most technologically advanced in the single-aisle market today, and many suppliers have contributed directly to those advancements," Cope said.
