Egyptair Latest Airline To Take Delivery of Newest Boeing 777

Oct. 04, 2001 -- EgyptAir, the flag carrier of the Arab Republic of Egypt, is the latest airline to take delivery of the popular Boeing 777-200ER. The EgyptAir-Boeing relationship began in 1966 with delivery of the carrier's first 707. EgyptAir has since expanded its fleet with 737s, 747s, 767s and 777s. EgyptAir serves 85 cities throughout Europe, the Middle East, the Far East, Africa, Australia, India and North America. As the fastest selling airplane in its class, the 777 has set a new industry standard for passenger comfort. The most technologically advanced airplane in production, the 777 will provide EgyptAir with unmatched range providing unlimited possibilities and economics unmatched by the competition to meet their market needs. EgyptAir has taken delivery of four 777-200ERs, and has one additional 777-200ER on order.
