SEATTLE, Nov. 20, 2001 -- The Boeing and Rolls-Royce flight test program used a modified Trent 800 engine on a 777-200ER to verify takeoff jet noise reductions of four decibels. Saw-tooth-shaped devices are added to the rear of the nacelle and on the exhaust nozzle.
