Lufthansa First to Have Connexion by Boeing System Installed

SEATTLE, March 12, 2002 -- Torsten Ulbrich prepares the first installation of Connexion by Boeing SM antennas on a commercial jetliner, a Lufthansa 747-400, at the Lufthansa Technik hangar in Hamburg. Lufthansa, one of Europe's leading international carriers, will use the Boeing 747-400 for a three-month Connexion by Boeing SM service trial beginning in late 2002. Connexion by Boeing is the market-leading initiative to bring commercial broadband data services to commercial and executive aircraft during flight.
