KLM Orders New Boeing 777-200ERs
AMSTERDAM, March 28, 2002 -- KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the newest customer for the Boeing 777. The airline has ordered eight new 777-200ER jetliners, which will begin delivery in late 2003. The 777-200ER, with a range of more than 14,300 kilometers (7,700 nautical miles) allows airlines to make nonstop flights from Europe to the West Coast of the United States, as well as to Asia, Africa and South America.
