ST. LOUIS, Nov. 26, 2002 -- The third of a trio of Boeing-built next-generation NASA Tracking and Data Relay Satellites is tested in the Boeing Satellite Systems factory prior to its shipment to Cape Canaveral, Fla. for a planned Dec. 4 launch. The Boeing 601 satellite built and delivered for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center of Greenbelt, Md., features innovative folding antennas that can simultaneously transmit and receive at multiple frequency bands.
