Ethiopian Airlines Selects Boeing 737 and 767 Airplanes

SEATTLE, Dec. 04, 2002 -- Ethiopian Airlines has chosen Boeing airplanes for its fleet expansion. The purchase agreement in principle is for three Boeing 737-700s with blended winglets and three 767-300ER (extended-range) airplanes. The agreement also includes provisions for additional fleet expansion opportunities into Boeing's 777 airplanes as a next step into the airline's fleet development program. Deliveries of the new airplanes will begin in the second half of 2003.
