Boeing Launches 747-400 Special Freighter
SEATTLE, Jan. 07, 2004 -- Boeing announced the launch of the 747-400 Special Freighter in January 2004. This artist rendering shows a 747-400 passenger airplane in Boeing livery after it has been converted to a special freighter. For the conversion to a freighter configuration, a 747-400 passenger airplane receives a side cargo door and layout that is identical to the 747-400 production freighter.
