Boeing 747, the "Queen of the Skies," Celebrates 35th Anniversary

SEATTLE, Feb. 09, 2004 -- The first 747-400 Extended Range airplane for Qantas Airways was delivered to the airline on October 30, 2002. Qantas was launch customer for the airplane, ordering six copies of the new model.
