Boeing, Japan Airlines Celebrate Delivery of Airline's First 777-300ER

EVERETT, Wash., June 16, 2004 -- Boeing and Japan Airlines celebrated delivery of the airline's first Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range), seen here taking off on a test flight from Paine Field, near Everett , Wash. The new airplane, the 28 th 777 delivered to JAL and the first of eight 777-300ERs that the airline, a launch customer for the model, will receive through 2008.

The newest member of the market-leading 777 commercial airplane family, the Boeing 777-300ER exceeded its original design performance targets during its highly successful flight test program. Boeing has sold 71 777-300ERs to seven customers worldwide.
